The Account Supervisor is responsible for the overall stewardship of the designated account and its client-agency relationship. Along with the Agency’s planning function, s/he is responsible for maintaining a high standard of advertising strategies, identifying and applying key consumer insights, as well as nurturing and inspiring the creative work.  S/he provides strong leadership, both internally and externally, and analyzes business or operating procedures to devise the most efficient methods of accomplishing all tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Along with a Partner in the company, supervises the entire account management effort of a client focused team
  • Ensures that entire team is contributing optimally to both the day-to-day and long term interests of the accounts to which he/she is assigned
  •  Responsible for overseeing the quality control of all materials emanating from the agency for his/her assigned account
  • Provides direction and oversees the completion of projects being conducted at the agency and brings them to a timely and meaningful conclusion, within budget
  • Works closely with senior management on all aspects of internal account duties  – may occasionally be engaged in new business projects and is responsible for organic growth of assigned account (as “new business”) 
  • Plans and manages the professional development of the account team staff members
  • Establishes standards of performance and best practices for A/M personnel
  • Keeps abreast of current marketing trends within assigned client industry
  • Works closely with the Agency Partners as well as the Creative, Media and Strategic leaders, Public Relations and Direct teams
  • Maintain day-to-day contact for client. Establish good working relationship with the client across their organization
  •  At least 4+ years experience in Account Management with at least 3-4 in A/M senior positions (Account Executive or higher)
  • Ability to develop, lead and present ideas and proposals, as well as interpret research and client objectives/strategies to positively impact the client business
  • Intimate knowledge and understanding of the marketing and advertising process
  • Experience and/or strong understanding of Hispanic consumer
  • Experience in analyzing client sales data to support strategy development
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish a MUST
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree a plus)
