JOB DESCRIPTION

The Brand Analytics team is a newly created team at Univision, with the sole focus of serving our internal and external clients on their branding research and primary research needs. Based in New York City, and as part of the Marketing organization, this team works in close collaboration with the Research & Insights team at Univision and focuses on leading research and trend analyses to inform thought leadership in the Hispanic space.   The team also oversees our own consumer panel, and merges a marketing and insights approach to all work, keeping a pulse on the health of our brands and how this influences our business.      

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, identifying, and executing research strategies based on client needs and market opportunities
  • Project manage research projects from development to execution, working with internal clients and procurement and with a keen focus on objectives and timelines
  • Help shape the scope and framework for brand measurement in partnership with Programming Research to help the marketing and programming teams make the best decisions possible
  • Execute analytical thinking and creative solutions for primary (qualitative and quantitative) research to explore further executions and tie-ins to marketing and/or client needs
  • Analyze complex datasets derived from primary and secondary sources to develop key insights and recommendations for the business
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations that highlight findings of primary and secondary research analysis by creating compelling stories and using graphics that speak to our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for proofreading and ensuring quality of all translated material in Spanish
  • Serve as a champion of insights-driven decision-making for the marketing team  
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing or similar.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a media or research company, advertising agency, or service company
  • Bilingual Spanish and English; written and oral language proficiency
  • A self-starter with strong written/oral communication and project management skills
  • Strong project management: outstanding organizational skills, great attention to detail and follow-through, ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze data and translate research findings into cohesive presentations
  • Strategic thinker and storyteller able to analyze and translate data into actionable insights and effective presentations 
  • Expertise with various custom research methodologies and syndicated marketing research tools such as MRI, Simmons, Scarborough, Kantar, AdViews
  • Comfortable working with large data files and cross tabs 

Good to have:

  • Hispanic/multi-cultural, marketing research, advertising or research, community management is a plus
  • Infographics, visual data representation skills a plus
