UCI’s sales and marketing organizations are looking for a highly motivated B2B marketer and media fanatic to join our team of strategic thought leaders.  The position is an integral part of a highly-regarded, platform-agnostic, and service-oriented Ad Sales Marketing team devoted to:  Securing Univision’s place as a leading U.S. media company and the Hispanic consumer thought leader; enhancing the stature of all Univision Communications’ media assets and driving awareness of the business opportunity we offer; and providing best-in-class sales enablement to a 700+ person advertising sales force. 

Reporting to the VP of Ad Sales Marketing, the Director of Ad Sales Marketing will:

·         Act as a senior member of the team in contributing to major annual internal and external projects to deliver on the mission stated above.  Projects include, but are not limited to:

o   Sales Tool Creation: Build presentations and other materials that offer marketers and agencies a compelling reason to work with UCI

o   Thought Leadership: In partnership with our Strategy and Insights and Research teams, develop insight-driven stories and presentations for industry events that will educate marketers and agencies on the Hispanic market imperative, and work with the broader team to plan and execute our annual Leading the Change thought leadership conference

o   Sales conferences and offsites: Help senior sales leaders develop agendas and build content to rally their teams

o   Case Studies: Uncover and craft powerful case studies of successful cross-platform campaigns

o   Content Marketing: Contribute to our department’s “always-on” content marketing strategy writing insight-based blogs for

·         Act as a B2B marketing strategist to work with senior sales leaders across key business verticals

o    Lead regularly scheduled meetings to:

§  Extract sales needs and priorities

§  Understand key business hurdles in the category

§  Uncover/develop the unique sales proposition for the offering

§  Consistently offer proactive ideas to grow the businesses

o    Create sales tools that offer the reasons to buy

o    Develop a deep understanding of audience or media research for these brands in order to highlight the best sales messages and find arguments to defend our weaknesses

·         Provide ad sales marketing expertise, strategy, and support in important business sectors/consumer categories (e.g. Telco, Tech)

o    Build strategic relationships with internal partners, so that they think of you as a part of the team, helping them achieve their goals; as well as with external partners, to keep Univision top-of-mind as a category and consumer thought-leader

o    Execute marketing tactics that promote the value of Hispanic consumers and UCI’s expertise within the category. Tactics may include: blog posts, presentations, sponsorships, promotions, e-blasts, bylines, videos, collateral pieces, social media, infographics, events and case studies



The ideal candidate MUST have: 

  • 8-10 years of strategic marketing experience within a media company, agency, or B2B service provider, and passion for the media and advertising space
  • True skill and interest in critical thinking and data analysis in order to develop a well-considered point of view
  • Experience building concise and persuasive marketing materials for thought leadership (bylines, blogs, and social posts) and creative pieces (promos, video scripts, trade ads) 
  • Highly-developed project management skills and a commitment to follow through on all details
  • A desire to manage senior-level internal clients with a service mindset
  • An “all-in-it together” team and collaboration mentality
