One of the fastest-growing, independent ad shops seeks a strong and savvy Media Buyer who knows how to multi-task in today’s rapidly changing media landscape. The candidate must convey a high level of energy, an eye for content creation, and non-conformist determination to resist old ways. You can be a collaborator in imagination at The New American Agency™ as we lead in identifying breakthrough media opportunities for our clients.




·         Negotiate and implement spot television and radio buys for 20+ local markets simultaneously against the Urban 12-17 segment

·         Represent clients and agency to the media in a respectful and professional manner

·         Communicate with media representatives on behalf of d expósito & Partners’ clients to negotiate the best placement, highest value-add, and optimal use of budgeted funds

·         Build and maintain positive relations with media representatives

·         Identify best innovated sponsorship and integration ideas during negotiations process

·         Regularly solicit and evaluate value-added opportunities for clients

·         Work with software programs such as Strata/SBMS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Third Party Ad Servers

·         Knowledgeable about the industry, Nielsen ratings, Urban & African American Market, and 12-17 Youth Segment

·         Stay updated on marketplace conditions, price fluctuations and changes in viewing patterns

·         Steward media campaigns regularly, manage makegoods, and ensure timely delivery of post analysis

·         Have a sense of urgency to obtain results and meet deadlines

·         Set priorities and manage time well

·         Be highly organized and effectively manage the details associated with campaigns

·         Assist supervisor with maintaining budget control throughout campaigns

·         Adapt to changes in workload and working conditions without loss of productivity



·         Bachelor Degree is required

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting

·         At least 3 years of local television and radio buying experience for the Urban Market

·         Experience in buying broadcast against the 12-17 Youth Segment is a plus

·         Excellent media buying negotiations skills

·         Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality work for multiple projects while meeting deadlines

·         Strong organization and communication skills
